Where Runa Sings Guns ‘N’ Roses, Episode 13, September 9, 2017, Country Dwellers Podcast

Greetings Listeners! This week we have a reading about the Ace of Pentacles, we brew up a cup of tea, have a stretch and a laugh. We learn that our moon phases may bring shadow introspection and how to acknowledge, accept, learn and move on. Remember this week is about patience. So make some zucchini lasagna, get ready to celebrate Mabon, but first go take a nap.

Again, please leave a comment, question, or content request here. We’ll happily respond to you here or on our podcast.

Blessed Be,

Runa & MareLin

Cutting the Cords that Bind Us, Episode 10, August 19, 2017

The 10 of Wands …it’s kind of like fire times 10. 😉

This week’s podcast we talk about cutting negativity, banishing, the eclipse, our hair, and Kale Chips. The Ten of Wands is our Tarot reading. And MareLin invites everyone to Snoqualmie’s Railroad Days where she will be providing healing Tarot Card Readings, where you MAY get to see the illusive Runa Troy.

Ravens Visit, Quiet Time, & Crone’s Wisdom, Episode 9, August 12, 2017

This week’s Tarot card reading is for the Moon Card. Start singing Moon Shadow right now! 😉

First off, please wish MareLin well. Keep her in your thoughts, intentions, and meditations. She’s been a bit too ill. She’s resting now and should be on the mend soon. But, she toughed it out and did our podcast anyway. Good on ya, witch! Be well.

This week’s podcast, besides illness subduing MareLin, includes a reading of the Moon Card, herbalism discussions, including things to do with echinacea, calendula, camomile, feverfew, and valerian. There’s an Aries Moon that could make things ripe for arguments, but should produce some good internal magick workings. There’s still a universe of retrograde going on, so listen up. Good time to watch the heavens as the Perseid meteor shower is making an appearance, and of course there’s the solar eclipse coming up and we’re in that event’s shadow now.

We’ve opened up our platform here to provide a community for pagans, especially in our local area. We talk about events at Our Lady Of The Earth And Sky as well as The Old Tree Metaphysical Shoppe & Healing Space. We give you a recipe for Roasted Tomato Bruschetta Topping for sharing at such events, as well as our spell of the week.

Again, please leave a comment, question, or content request here. We’ll happily respond to you here or on our podcast.

Blessed Be,

Crone Moon Full of Politics & Recipes – Episode 6 – July 22, 2017

This week’s Tarot card was the Eight of Wands. Listen to the podcast below to hear all about it.

Greetings Listeners, Followers, and Fellow Country Dwellers:

First off, please forgive the couple of bloops in our recording. We had our microphone set to the wrong setting and it picked up MareLin’s ceiling fan, which pinged the sensitivity of the mic. Runa did her best to minimize the damage. But, we’ll fix it in the next podcast, so, “bear” with us as MareLin goes off and hugs the teenage Ursidae in her yard.

At any rate, we talk about Etsy and the closing of Pagan Shops, Moving to Canada, and like we mentioned above…sometimes there is politics.

This week’s card is the Eight of Wands, which leads nicely into this week’s almanac focus of water conservation, dream work, Ritual Bath Soak/Cleansing.

Here’s MareLin’s Water Purification for Hydration and Detoxing:

1 Quart of Water

1 tsp of Cayenne Pepper

Freshly mulled mint leaves (to taste)

half a cucumber peeled & sliced

Whole lemon, quartered, juiced and rinds reserved

Ginger Root, grated to taste

Put all ingredients together in a pitcher and drink. Refill in one day to get your hydration covered. Be ready for lots of energy.

Again, please leave a comment, question, or content request here. We’ll happily respond to you here or on our podcast.

Blessed Be,

Runa & MareLin

The Five Ws and One H – Episode 1 – Country Dwellers Podcast

Just some of the ley lines in our backyard.

Greetings one and all!
And we mean all.

First we want to thank all those that helped make this release possible, especially to The Viking and Babe. Without your support, none of this journey would be possible.

The Tarot Card of the Week is the Queen of Pentacles. Listen to the Podcast to hear MareLin’s reading.

This episode we talk about who we are, why we’re doing this podcast, where we are, what we plan to accomplish with this podcast, when you can find the podcast and deeper information than what we discuss on-air, and how all of this came to be.

Our podcast may be found on Google Play, iTunes, and Soundcloud, just look for “Country Dwellers.”  If there’s a particular podcast portal you’d like us to also be available to, please let us know in the comments.

Here are the links as promised referred to in our first podcast:

*Leylines

A special treat for our inaugural podcast: Raspberry-Infused Mimosa

*Recipe of the Week:  Raspberry-Infused Mimosa – Ingredients:  One shot (jigger) of Orange Juice, One shot of Pineapple Juice, Two shots of Prosecco or Champagne, Three fresh raspberries per glass. Mix liquids together in one glass, add fresh raspberries. Enjoy.

*Gardening Zones and Gardening to do in June

*Natural Pesticides for Rose Bushes: Two parts water, one part dish soap (not detergent), one part lemon juice. Feel free to add a little garlic and cooking oil, too, if you like. Spray on the aphid infested part of the plant. The force of the water from your sprayer is part of the control method, so don’t be afraid to really soak the little buggers.
